Projektom sa zaober\u00e1 \u00daJV Re\u017e spolu s Chemickou fakultou V\u0160CHT v Prahe a taktie\u017e firmou APT, ktor\u00e1 sa \u0161pecializuje najm\u00e4 na dod\u00e1vanie technol\u00f3gi\u00ed. Spolo\u010dnos\u0165 EPSILON sa na projekte pris\u013e\u00fabila tie\u017e a to t\u00fdm, \u017ee investovala 60% do experiment\u00e1lneho v\u00fdvoja, vedy a v\u00fdskumu. S\u00fa\u010dasn\u00e9 prieskumy ukazuj\u00fa, \u017ee chemick\u00fd priemysel m\u00e1 ve\u013ek\u00e9 prebytky vod\u00edka. Tieto prebytky by boli v automobilovej doprave ve\u013emi ve\u013ek\u00fdm pr\u00ednosom. Pribli\u017ene z polovice vyroben\u00e9ho vod\u00edka sa v dne\u0161nej dobe vyr\u00e1ba amoniak a taktie\u017e suroviny na v\u00fdrobu hnoj\u00edv. T\u00e1 zvy\u0161n\u00e1 \u010das\u0165 vod\u00edka sl\u00fa\u017ei na v\u00fdrobu motorov\u00fdch pal\u00edv a v\u00e1kuov\u00fdch destil\u00e1tov.  Pod\u013ea hovorcu jednej vod\u00edkovej spolo\u010dnosti, m\u00e1 firma v pl\u00e1ne produkova\u0165 vod\u00edk aj pre automobilov\u00fa dopravu. \u010cesk\u00e1 republika spolu s vod\u00edkovou spolo\u010dnos\u0165ou pl\u00e1nuje roz\u0161\u00edri\u0165 dve \u010derpacie stanice o vod\u00edkov\u00e9 stojany a to hlavne v Litv\u00ednove a Barrandove. V s\u00fa\u010dasnosti sa v \u010ceskej republike nepred\u00e1vaj\u00fa \u017eiadne aut\u00e1 na vod\u00edkov\u00fd pohon. Hlavn\u00fdm d\u00f4vodom pre\u010do je to tak je ch\u00fdbaj\u00faca infra\u0161trukt\u00fara.
